our story
At an early age, founder Elizabeth Hill learned from her grandmother – a woman who notoriously keeps her dining room table exquisitely set a permanent fixture – that true elegance is when the inside is as beautiful as the outside.
Honoring her cherished muse, Elizabeth combined her maiden name with her grandmother's to create Hart & Hill: a symbol that the most extraordinary spaces and people are that which exude a positive force and embrace their unique nature.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Hart & Hill founder, Elizabeth, is an Eastern North Carolina native and design enthusiast turned fine interior curator.
After spending a majority of her young adult life in Montana, Elizabeth moved back to North Carolina to be closer to family where her spark for design was kindled. While completing significant home renovations years ago, Elizabeth discovered a great joy in designing inspired environments, which led her to later open a storefront dedicated to helping others find unique pieces to create spaces they truly love.
With a distinct eye and high standard of quality, Elizabeth strives to push creative bounds when it comes to design – incorporating unexpected stylistic pairings, eccentric pattern play, and uplifting color stories. Always in search of the next piece, Elizabeth's passion has become a creative resource to designers and home-makers seeking comfortable and inviting spaces.
Outside of Hart & Hill, you can find Elizabeth frequently traveling to Montana to ski and hike or hanging out at her local beach as she learns to surf the intracoastal waterway. Her heart is most full spending time with her friends and three daughters as well as tending to her chickens, chocolate lab, Bexley, and mini Australian Shepard, Banjo.
